There's a place for everyone in our orchestra
You don't have to play an instrument to join us. If you're an orchestral musician come and play with us, we'd love to hear from you. You can also support us by becoming a Friend of the Orchestra, provide a helping hand at concerts, or consider corporate sponsorship. You will helping us to continue bringing outstanding live music to our community. Whichever way you choose to get involved, you'll be helping great music flourish.
Join the Orchestra
We are inviting enthusiastic and committed players to join us. Whether you are an experienced orchestral player or returning to music after a break, we value dedication, teamwork, and a love of performance. Come and share your talent, grow as a musician, and help us create memorable concerts for our audiences.
Rehearsals are every Tuesday during term time from 7.30 pm – 9.45 pm, and take place at Dolphin School, Waltham Rd, Hurst RG10 0FR.

Become a Friend of the Orchestra
As a Friend, you'll help us continue bringing outstanding live orchestral music to our community while supporting the high musical standards we have built over the past fifty years. Your support enables us to present ambitious concerts, nurture young musicians through our annual Young Musician Concerto Competition, and secure the orchestra's future for generations to come.
You'll enjoy regular updates by post or email, priority booking for concerts, acknowledgement in our concert programmes (if you wish), invitations to attend selected rehearsals, and the opportunity to suggest repertoire for future seasons. Most importantly, you'll become an important part of the WMSO family, sharing in the music, friendships, and success of the orchestra.

On Saturday 4th December 2027, the Windsor & Maidenhead Symphony Chorus will be joining with four choirs and the Windsor & Maidenhead Symphony Orchestra to perform Berlioz's epic Requiem (Grande Messe des Morts) at Guildford Cathedral, a gigantic choral work involving massed orchestra, four antiphonal off-stage brass ensembles, and over 300 Singers.
