On Saturday 4th December 2027, the Windsor & Maidenhead Symphony Chorus will be joining with the Royal Free Singers, the Slough Philharmonic Society, Parenthesis Choir, Maidenhead Choral Society, and the Windsor & Maidenhead Symphony Orchestra to perform Berlioz's epic Requiem (Grande Messe des Morts) at Guildford Cathedral, a gigantic choral work involving massed orchestra, four antiphonal off-stage brass ensembles, and over 300 Singers.

We are currently recruiting singers for the Windsor & Maidenhead Symphony Chorus (WMSChorus). We want to attract singers from across the UK. Simply fill in the form below to register. As a member of WMSChorus, your participation will be FREE, but you must purchase your own score, which must be the Bärenreiter edition. There's more good news: Bärenreiter will offer a 20% discount if you use BERREQ at checkout.

Why should I sing in this project?

• A chance to sing an awe-inspiring work, one that is rarely performed in the UK.
• An opportunity to perform alongside 500 performers, a life-changing experience.
• Participation is free for members of the Windsor & Maidenhead Symphony Chorus, as long as members purchase their own Bärenreiter Score.
• The concert will be at Guildford Cathedral, one of the largest and most exciting Cathedrals in the UK.

As there are so few rehearsals, singers must attend all four rehearsals:

• Saturday 30th October: 12 Noon - 6:00 pm (Windsor/Maidenhead Area)
• Sunday 31st October: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (Windsor/Maidenhead Area)
• Friday 3rd December: 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm (Windsor/Maidenhead Area)
• Saturday 4th December: 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm; Concert at 7.30 pm (Guildford Cathedral)
