A jazzy, nautical start to this concert leads us to the Royal Borough’s twin town of Kortrijk in Belgium. We are delighted to invite Kortrijk composer David Anne to conduct the WMSO in a specially orchestrated version of his musical descriptions of his city, commissioned for Kortrijk’s European Music Week 2008 which involved members of the WMSO. Our outstanding YMC winner joining us in this concert is also from Kortrijk.
